WWI is over, and the newly established states must urgently address the creation of new laws and their enforcement, but criminals don't care about it and continue to steal, defraud and murder.
In such a situation, in 1919, together with two gendarmerie trainees, we enter the small Moravian spa town Luhatschowitz.
The former commander of a gendarmes' station, demoted due to his Austrian origin, serves here as an ordinary gendarme and as a versed local person, he is in charge of both young novices.
Serious criminal cases are spiced up with humorous plots and love affairs will not avoid young gendarmes. And since it is only a few minutes' walks from luxury spa hotels to poor cottages, the local gendarmes are called upon to solve truly disparate criminal cases.
