THE DEVIL'S MISTRESS

She turned down Hollywood to become Goebbels' mistress, and that’s how the Czech beauty Lida Baarová became one of the most renowned actresses in the German Reich, but when she started working at Babelsberg Film Studios just outside Berlin – the Hollywood of Europe – in 1934 in a major German feature film she didn’t know the price she would have to pay to become famous.
"The Devil's Mistress" takes a critical look at the artist's choices and errors, her incredible naiveté and her very credible pandering to the Nazis.
